Past,
Present and Future...........
· Exceptional Equestrians began with a single horse, no barn,
and a dream to let children experience the freedom of riding.
· Today we offer hippotherapy and therapeutic riding services to
approximately 75 families per year.
· We have 4 working therapy horses, having recently retired two
horses who had devoted 10 plus years to children.
· We ride in a non heated indoor arena and rely on access to the
Country Kids facility for restrooms, office space, and conference.
· We are limited in our ability to provide services year round
by our facility, our limited staff availability, and our limited number of
capable therapy horses….but all is about to change as we kick off a plan for
the future.
We are excited to announce the launch of a &1.8
million campaign entitled:

Thanks to the
generosity of our Northeastern Wisconsin Community partners Exceptional
Equestrians is pleased to announce that we are well on our way toward
reaching our $1.9 million goal. The funds generated thus far have allowed us
to renovate and heat our existing riding arena. No longer will we be
required to discontinue services due to cold or inclement weather. This is
fantastic news for the children and families who will not have to worry
about regression in progress due to suspension of services.

Another significant step toward our end goal has also
been met, this being the purchase of the land and existing structures which
have been leased by EE for the past several years. Exceptional Equestrians
is now a free standing entity. The next step in our project, the
construction of an office/treatment building connected to the arena will
offer our clients and staff:
Waiting area, Office space, Treatment room, Gait
research area, Equipment exchange program, Indoor riding observation area
Riding preparation space, Outdoor play area
The realization of our dream will allow us to continue on a growth path
toward becoming a state of the art facility, capable of offering:
· Year round and expanded services
· Research opportunities
· Innovative programs and treatment options
· Mentoring and education opportunities for therapists and
volunteers
This will be a facility for the community, built by the community.
Exceptional Equestrians extends a thank you to all of the corporations,
foundations, and individuals who have contributed funds, materials and
labor. Please visit our donor page for a listing of these generous people.
